How I Work

Investors who follow a carefully planned set of guidelines have a higher success rate than those who act on their emotions or make frequent changes based on the events of the day. I spend a lot of time researching and writing about how to utilize behavioral finance in concert with the best practices in portfolio management. We have designed an investment approach that allows us to capitalize on the long-term, while not allowing temporary activity in the markets to interfere with our decision-making process.

I visit with each client one to four times per year either on the phone or in person. If you’re the type of person who places a high degree of importance on quality of life issues, then an annual review with me is probably sufficient. Now, if there’s a financial emergency, or some other issue that needs attention, then, of course call us right away. But again, for most people, a yearly review is not only sufficient, but it frees you up to do the things that you enjoy. My firm also has a wonderful support staff that makes phone contact simple and easy anytime it is needed.

Time

Patience

Trust

Although Kraus Capital is headquartered in San Antonio, Texas we work with clients all over the United States. Thanks to technology, we’re able to make sure the experience for our out-of-the-area clients is as positive and personal as that of our local clients. We have a wonderful web-based virtual meeting program that allows me to work with clients in a very personal manner despite being hundreds or even thousands of miles apart. If you’ve never thought about working with an advisor virtually – I think you’d be pleasantly surprised how easy, efficient, and enjoyable it can be. Working with a financial advisor without having to drive to their office is actually very easy and convenient. Meetings can be done from the comfort of your home or office while we still see each other over the computer screen while simultaneously being able to review financial matters.

We utilize our website, weekly, monthly and quarterly updates, email communications, phone check-ins, social media and blog for announcements and to keep clients informed and up-to date between reviews.

Most importantly, I feel that clients and their advisors get along and work as a team. Good financial planning and investment management doesn’t work overnight. It takes time, patience, and trust. I’ve done the best I can at structuring my work and services in a manner that gives clients personal attention and financial management support. I know there is always room for improvement and I always strive to get better at what I do each day. My uncompromising promise is to take the thousand plus hours of research I do each year and leverage it to benefit those who place their trust with me and my firm.
