I have taken specific steps to ensure a few very important things when it came to the construction of my practice: I serve as a fiduciary to my clients which means I have both an ethical and a legal obligation to put clients’ interests before my own in all the recommendations I make.
Since we are an independent, retirement-specific firm that specializes in helping our clients at the point of retirement we forgo the more complicated retainer fees or tiered pricing structures, nickel and dime hourly rates and overpriced financial plans that are outdated by the time they are completed. Our clients want ongoing help managing their investments – our compensation is fee-based, driven by a simple percentage of assets under management fee. Relative to other firms, you’ll find our fees very competitive. Our portfolios are constructed using an institutional class or no-load mutual funds from providers like Dimensional Fund Advisors and Vanguard. We strive to keep costs as low as possible, so clients can keep more of their return (the way it should be). Some investment strategies may compensate my firm in the form of a commission – which is always fully disclosed prior to and in writing at the time of implementation. If you’d like complete details of my firm’s fee schedule just use the contact form on my site and I’m happy to provide an estimate for your situation.
